David Lloyd Leisure

The David Lloyd Leisure chain was founded in 1980 by the well-known former Davis Cup player David Lloyd. Since then it has changed hands several times including being snapped up by the leisure giant Whitbread in 1995 and sold again in 2007 to the billionaire Livingstone brothers.

In February 2017 the David Lloyd Leisure group, (DLL) agreed to acquire 16 of the Virgin Active health clubs bringing the number of sites in the UK to 83 with a further 12 in Europe

They have invested over £120M on their refurbishment and development program which included a new colour scheme throughout the pool and changing areas along with opening new family areas and coffee bars.
